The SPECS/2007 Solution Center exhibit floor bustled with activity as retailers and other specifiers viewed the newest products, services and technologies that the industry has to offer. The floor was home to top suppliers in the areas of construction, facilities management, and store planning and design, all of whom stood ready to lend their expertise to attendees.

Along with serving as a showcase for new products, the Solution Center offered valuable networking and business-partnering opportunities for retailers and suppliers alike. Amid an atmosphere that fostered dialogue, attendees and exhibitors discussed business challenges and opportunities and also brainstormed potential solutions. The time spent in the Solution Center was well-spent, as existing alliances were strengthened and new ones were forged.

Fall Launch for

SPECS/2007 proved the ideal forum for Chain Store Age to announce an exciting new expansion of the SPECS experience: Cyber-SPECS. Designed to complement the annual event, Cyber-SPECS is a virtual trade show that will bring retailers and exhibitors together in an online environment. Exhibitor booths will be available 24/7, giving retailers the opportunity to view the latest in products and services anytime and from anywhere in real time. Exhibitors will be able to update their offerings and provide information on demand.

Set to launch Sept. 19, 2007, Cyber-SPECS has three components:

Exposition Hall (show floor): Exhibitors’ booths and assorted resources;

Conference Hall: Live and on-demand educational sessions on key aspects of the store development process—construction, energy, facilities and planning/design—from industry experts.

Product/Service Showcase Hall: Multimedia presentations and product demonstrations from participating sponsors.
