Minneapolis Christopher & Banks Corp. reported on Wednesday that total sales for its third quarter ended Nov. 29, 2008 were $143.0 million, compared to $155.2 million for the quarter ended December 1, 2007.
Same-store sales decreased 14% for the quarter.
Net loss for the third quarter was $1.4 million. Included in these results was a pre-tax charge of $4.7 million, $1.3 million net of tax, related to the previously announced closing of the company’s Acorn division.
In last year’s third quarter, the company had net income of $10.2 million.
