Deckers streamlines supply chain

OAKLAND, Calif. — Global footwear company Deckers Outdoor Corporation, known for its Ugg and Teva brands, has selected the GT Nexus platform to improve supply chain collaboration and visibility.

The cloud-based platform eliminates manual processes, paper and spreadsheets to streamline supply management processes. It also allows Deckers to monitor the movement of products and payments from order through delivery and settlement.

GT Nexus will replace electronic data exchange and point-to-point solutions with a multi-enterprise network solution that connects external parties and ties back into Deckers's enterprise resource planning system for real-time updates into performance across the physical and financial supply chains.

"Our main objective is improving visibility across our extended supply chain," said Mark Fegley, SVP of supply chain at Deckers. "GT Nexus will replace a number of disparate systems to help us closely track the flow of orders throughout the supply chain, from purchase order through settlement. We'll have consistent visibility into what is really occurring in the factory, at the packing station, and in transit."

Deckers is deploying enhanced business capabilities powered by GT Nexus to better collaborate and transact with suppliers across China, Vietnam and the Americas.

"Companies that replace traditional software with a network-centric technology approach to managing their global supply chains are emerging as winners in the marketplace," said Sean Feeney, CEO of GT Nexus. "This is a huge opportunity for Deckers to connect all trading partners in its global supply chain to a single version of truth information model to execute programs like early payments, deductions management and direct shipments."

GT Nexus’s clients include Adidas Group, Caterpillar, Citi, Columbia Sportswear, DHL, Electrolux, Levi Strauss & Co., Kohl's, Nestlé, Pfizer, Renault and Sears.
