New York City Robert K. Futterman & Associates said Wednesday it has secured a 4,500-sq.-ft. lease with French retailer agnes b. at 50 Howard Street on the north block between Broadway and Mercer Street in the SoHo district of Manhattan.
The building was built in 1863 as the New York Soldiers' Depot, a temporary home or resting place for furloughed and discharged soldiers.
Agnes b. previously had a store on Greene Street in SoHo. This new store on Howard Street will reintroduce the brand in this fashion-driven market. Neighboring retailers include American Apparel, Nike Sportswear, Ted Baker, Vivienne Tam, Opening Ceremony, DDCLAB and Jil Sander.
