Hhgregg has renewed its partnership with the Indianapolis Colts, extending the interactive football experience it provided last year. People at Colts games will be able to play Hhgregg’s Endless Blitz game on their smartphones, competing against other people in the stadium to win prizes.
“Through our partnership with the Indianapolis Colts, we’re helping to bring fans a fun, interactive experience on home game days,” Jeffrey Pearson, Hhgregg’s SVP marketing, said. “Engaging in our local community is important to us, and our longstanding relationship with the Colts organization is an integral part of that community involvement for Hhgregg.”
Last year the game ended up making it to the top 20 sports apps in iTunes app store, and increased engagement 1,000 fold. Even fans without smartphones can get into the game by playing on iPads at various locations within the stadium. Winners can win TVs, autographed memorabilia and gift cards to Hhgregg. As spectators play, the top three contestants’ names are shown on a big screen in the stadium.
“The increased fan engagement and excitement we saw last year drove us to incorporate hhgregg and The Endless Blitz Challenge again this season,” Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon said. “We strive to create a lively and competitive atmosphere in Lucas Oil Stadium, and engaging fans through mobile devices and big screens allows them to participate in an event where they might otherwise be only spectators.”
