Limited plans major push in Canada

New York City Limited Brands has Canada in its sights this year. CFO Stuart Bergdoerfer, in a Thursday conference call for stock analysts, said the retailer plans to open 50 new stores in 2010, with 39 to 44 of those openings slated for Canada, Business First of Columbia reported.

Martyn Redgrave, chief administrative officer of Limited Brands, said the company will add to its travel-and-tourism stake as well, with licensed partners expected to add between 10 and 15 international stores in airports and other tourist destinations.
