Austin, Texas -- After a successful pilot during the 2012 holiday season, Starmount announced Tuesday that Perry Ellis International complete a chainwide rollout of Starmount mobile selling solutions in the first quarter.
The pilot involved 17 Perry Ellis stores, most going live before Black Friday with Starmount's mobile POS solution. The initial deployment preceded the rollout of Starmount Connect and Engage which, when fully deployed, will help Perry Ellis increase the level of customer engagement throughout the store, enabling associates to use mobile devices for product and price lookup, product recommendations, clienteling, and to provide access to customer loyalty information.
One key capability, for example, is if an item is out of stock in the store, sales associates can check inventory and fulfill the order from other channels or store locations, without leaving the customer's side.
