Austin, Texas -- Digby announced Tuesday that U.K. apparel retailer Republic has launched a mobile optimized website through Venda’s advanced mobile platform powered by Digby.
Through the platform, Republic is introducing mobile as a strategic channel that complements its e-commerce site and more than 110 retail stores across the United Kingdom. The mobile shopping experience will allow customers to search, browse and buy products in as little as 60 seconds from mobile devices such as iPhone/iPod Touch, BlackBerry and Android.
Key features of the mobile optimized site include: shop by category, large, rich product images with multiple views, detailed item descriptions, ratings and reviews, share through Facebook, Twitter and email, “find in store,” a size guide, an ever-present search bar, special offers and a store locator.
“It is clear that mobile is quickly becoming one of the most proven and relevant ways for consumers to have access to our products anytime, anywhere,” said Jo Molineux, head of multichannel at Republic. “A mobile optimized website that enables our valuable customers to research products, find Republic locations and purchase items whether they are out and about, at home or in one of our stores will strategically enhance our multi-channel strategy.”
The mobile commerce solution, known as the Venda Advanced Mobile Platform, is a feature-rich mobile portfolio powered by Digby, which is integrated with the Venda Enterprise e-commerce platform.
