Stop & Shop generates buzz about its store brands with promotion

Stop & Shop is once again looking to promote its store brands by holding its Buy Theirs, Get Ours Free challenge.

During the weeks of June 29 and July 6 and then again the weeks of July 27 and August 3, when customers purchase selected national brand products, they will receive Stop & Shop Own Brands equivalent products free.

“Our Stop & Shop brands offer great quality and value,” said Judi Palmer, director of marketing and external communications. “When we ran this promotion earlier in the year, it was very successful in introducing a large number of customers to Stop & Shop brands. We’re hopeful that once a customer tries an item and realizes it is as good as or even better than the national brand, they will return to our stores to purchase these products again and again.”

Products in the Buy Theirs, Get Ours Free promotion include barbecue sauce, peanuts, pretzels, tortilla chips, lunchmeat, fruit juice, crackers, chicken nuggets and corn flakes. The promotion also includes health and beauty care items such as diapers, sunscreen, laundry pods, tissues and mouthwash. A complete listing of eligible sale items can be found in store and in the weekly circular available online. On average, customers can expect to save 10 to 35% by purchasing Stop & Shop Own Brands instead of national brands. For customers who may want to try before they buy, all Stop & Shop stores will sample select Own Brand products in-store on the weekends.
