Breda, Netherlands To support its portfolio growth in new regions, WE Fashion is adding modules from Oracle Retail, from Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Oracle.
The retail platform supports the company’s new IT project, WE Implement New Generation Systems. Internally called WINGS, the initiative is designed to strengthen WE’s efforts and flexibility as it expands its international breadth, and introduces new merchandise and categories, as well as new services such as e-commerce and franchising programs.
By using Oracle Retail, the chain will gain access to modules including the Oracle Retail Merchandising System, Retail Allocation, Retail Price Management, Retail Warehouse Management System and Retail Trade Management. Besides providing insight into store, inventory, merchandise and supply chain operations, the scalable platform uses real-time customer data to coordinate and adapt to changes in inventory demand and allocation of store-level merchandise.
“WE Fashion recognizes the importance of deploying systems that not only support our expansion long-term, but enable us to maintain an intimate understanding of customer demand,” said Koen Aben, CIO, WE Fashion.
