A go-to brand for shoppers on-the-go, WH Smith Travel is improving the in-store experience.
The chain will add the Aptos Store point-of-sale solution at WH Smith’s Travel locations. The platform, which features modernized, flexible POS technology, is designed to maximize associate productivity and improve the customer experience across the chain’s more than 900 locations in Europe.
Through the agreement, WH Smith is also gaining a service management team and help desk call handling and incident management, both which feature proactive support services to maximize store availability of technology.
The contract will cover the retailer’s Travel locations, which sell a range of products to cater to people on the move or in need of a convenience offer, and its High Street outlets that sell a wide range of products including newspapers, magazines, stationery, books and confectionery products. The agreement supports existing locations and the opening of new retail units.
