Woolworths to roll out Escalate online solution

San Diego E-commerce solution provider Escalate Retail said Tuesday that Woolworths’ BIGW and Dick Smith brands have selected Blue Martini Commerce Suite as part of the development of their online stores.

Woolworths, Australia’s largest retailer, selected Blue Martini in 2009 as the e-commerce platform for its non-food brands, with the grocery division having used Blue Martini since 2008. While teaming with development and implementation partner Tata Consultancy Services, Escalate completed the e-commerce roll-out for BIGW in May 2010. The retailers’ implementation of Blue Martini will enable Woolworths to leverage the platform’s capabilities in delivering an increasingly multichannel experience for its customers.

“We were impressed with the flexibility of Escalate Retail’s Blue Martini Commerce platform and its ability to handle our diverse businesses,” said Daniel Roberts, head of online, Woolworths.

The Blue Martini Commerce Suite is a feature-rich platform that combines shopping, service and product information tools with a customer history and profile. The customizable solution allows retailers to personalize interactions and manage orders, payments, and account information across channels.
