Lowe's debuts stores in Mexico

Lowe’s Cos. announced Friday it is opening its first two stores in Mexico – in Monterrey – as part of the home-improvement retailer’s international growth strategy. Lowe’s Linda Vista and Lowe’s Sendero will open on Feb. 8.
Lowe?s Mexico has invested approximately $18 million to $20 million in each store. About 430 associates have been hired to operate the two stores and the company’s offices in Monterrey. Each store offers a sales area of approximately 110,000 sq. ft. including a special drive-through building materials yard, a garden center and a fully staffed, full-service hardware desk. |
