Dallas Zale Corp. on Thursday said its board named interim CEO Theo Killion to the post permanently and to its board.
Killion had served as president and interim CEO since Jan. 13 at Zale. Killion's predecessor, Neal Goldberg, and other executives left in January following a tough holiday season.
Killion joined Zale in January 2008 as executive VP and was appointed president in August 2008. Previously, he held senior management positions at Tommy Hilfiger, Limited Brands, Macy's East and the Home Shopping Network.
Zale also said Richard Breeden and James Cotter, board members since January 2008, have resigned. Kenneth Gilman, a retail industry veteran, will join as an independent director.
