The Newgistics Recall Solution, from Austin, Texas-based Newgistics, promises to ease the pain of product recalls for retailers and consumers. Based on Newgistics’ intelligent returns management technology, the new solution enables a retailer to promptly deliver customized recall information to impacted consumers via e-mail or postcard communications. Impacted customers access Newgistics’ Returns Center, an on-line portal where consumers can create a return label and convey their recall status information to the retailer or manufacturer. Consumers then drop off their Newgistics-labeled package anywhere in the U.S. Postal Service mail stream. The label enables companies to track inbound packages, and comply with regulatory reporting requirements.
