Kearney, Neb. The Buckle said Thursday its second-quarter profit rose 12% on jumps in same-store and online sales. The results beat Wall Street predictions.
For the quarter ended Aug. 1, The Buckle earned $25 million compared with $22.3 million for the same quarter last year. Revenue rose 14% to $192.9 million, from $169.8 million.
Same-store sales rose 8.6% while online sales, which are not included in same-store sales, soared 39% to $10.1 million.
