Plano, Texas -- Inland Western, based in Oak Brook, Ill., said that its Shops at Legacy, in Plano, Texas, has partnered with Smart Choice to launch a mobile personal shopping assistant app. The new app features product information, a customizable shopping experience and a “Men’s Corner,” which includes drink specials, sports game listings and gift ideas.
The app showcases The Shops’ boutiques and restaurants by offering a highly visual, shopper-centric mobile tool that will function as a personal shopper. The app is designed to showcase each establishment through images of each location, as well as provide merchant categories and information. Participating retailers can provide consumers with real-time announcements, sales, coupons and other opportunities and information.
“The Shops is a unique center, and we wanted our app to reflect our distinctive brand,” said Andrea Taylor, marketing director for The Shops. “Customers using the app can discover the latest hotspots and snag amazing deals from their favorite stores and restaurants at The Shops.”
Each retailer can provide instant updates in the “Psst” section to promote real-time deals -- everything from drink specials at local restaurants to discounts when a customer shows a smartphone at a center boutique.
“While typically shopping is all about the women, the ‘Men’s Corner’ was created to target our male customer,” said Taylor. “As the popularity of this part of the site increases, The Shops will host exclusive events and promote them on the Men’s Corner.”
“Save and Share” is another unique feature where users can snap a photo of a product and quickly share it. Additionally, they can share information about the shop, product and price.
The Shops at Legacy, located at Dallas N. Tollway and Legacy Drive in Plano, is a mixed-use open-air urban center featuring Urban Outfitters, Bob’s Steak & Chop House, Angelika Theatre, Blinc, and Jasper’s Gourmet Backyard Cuisine, among others.
