  • Toomer’s Coffee, Auburn Rays to Hamilton Place

    Auburn, Ala. — Toomer’s Coffee Company and Auburn Rays have each leased 1,400 sq. ft. in Hamilton Place Shopping Center in Auburn, Ala., according to Pine Tree Commercial, which owns the property in partnership with Privet Investments LLC and Silverpeak Real Estate Partners.

    The Shopping Center Group represented the landlord in the transaction.

     

  • Krispy Kreme to open 25 stores in Colombia

    Winston-Salem, N.C. – Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation has signed its first development agreement in South America with Bogota-based IRCC Ltda., a subsidiary of the VA! Group. Under the agreement, IRCC expects to develop 25 stores in major cities throughout Colombia, including Bogota, Medellin and Barranquilla, during the next five years.

  • Glen Eagle Square welcomes three more new retailers

    Chadds Ford, Pa. — Three more new retailers have signed leases at Glen Eagle Square. Gap’s national women’s athletic wear brand Athleta, took 5,100 sq. ft. Pet Valu leased 3,200 sq. ft. and Not Your Average Joes, a casual American-style restaurant will occupy more than 7,200 sq. ft.

  • New Sam’s Club opens in Harker Heights, Texas

    Harker Heights, Texas — Sam’s Club will open its new Harker Heights, Texas location on Sept. 26 at 8 a.m. The grand opening will feature presentations by the mayor of Harker Heights and the president of the chamber of commerce president. Retired NFL player Ed “Too Tall” Jones will make an appearance from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

    The new 136,000-sq.-ft. warehouse will bring 175 jobs to the community and feature a fresh bakery, a tire and battery center, a café and a fueling station.

  • Pet Supermarket signs into Fielder Plaza

    Arlington, Texas — With more than 135 stores across the country, Pet Supermarket has leased 6,000 sq. ft. of retail space in Fielder Plaza, a community retail center in Arlington, Texas.

    The Weitzman Group, the exclusive retail-leasing agent for the center, handled negotiations for the transaction. Pet Supermarket will join Tom Thumb grocery, CVS/pharmacy, Starbucks, Allstate, T-Mobile and others. Cencor Realty Services manages Fielder Plaza.

     

  • Sam’s Club opens in Rock Hill, S.C.

    Rock Hill, S.C. — Sam’s Club will open its new Rock Hill, S.C., club on Sep. 26. The grand opening will feature Greg Olsen, tight end for the Carolina Panthers, graffiti artist Reid Bramhall, face painting by Tony the Tiger and a book signing by TV chef and restaurateur Jami Deen.

  • Buckle leases space at Golden Triangle Mall

    Denton, Texas — Denim specialty retailer Buckle plans to open a store at Golden Triangle Mall on Oct.17. Golden Triangle, Denton’s only mall, features Macy’s, Dillard’s, J.C. Penney, Sears, Barnes & Noble and DSW Show Warehouse as anchors.

    Cencor Realty Services manages the mall, and The Weitzman Group www.weitzmangroup.com is the exclusive leasing agent for the property.

     

  • JLL appoints two Capital Markets executive VPs

    Denver — Forecasting a brisk pace for investor activity in the Denver commercial real estate market due to growth in the oil/gas and technology industries, Jones Lang LaSalle has announced the appointment of industry veterans Patrick Devereaux and Jason Schmidt as investment sales experts in the Rocky Mountain region. The two join JLL as executive VPs.

    With more than 20 years of experience as an industrial broker, Devereaux previously served as senior director in the Capital Markets Group at a national brokerage.

  • Schnuck Markets to open two new stores in Evansville, Ind., area

    Evansville, Ind. — Schnuck Markets plans to open two stores and remodel three locations in southwest Indiana, the supermarket chain said Tuesday.

    Schnucks said it planned to invest more than $11 million in Evansville, Ind., which is the largest city in southwest Indiana. Chairman and CEO Scott Schnuck announced the plans at the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting and dinner.

  • JLL signs new VP for Florida retail leasing group

    Orlando, Fla. — Jones Lang LaSalle has announced the appointment of Justin Greider to its Florida retail leasing business. Greider joins as a VP to oversee the firm’s retail leasing portfolio. Greider will work with Florida retail market lead John Lambert and senior VP Sean McConnell to provide strategic planning and execution of merchandising plans for the firm’s neighborhood, community and premier shopping centers throughout Florida.
