Aaron’s partners with Buxton for expansion strategy
Fort Worth, Texas — Aaron’s has formed a partnership with Buxton, a customer analytics firm, to assist with the retailer’s market expansion and analytics strategy.
“Our partnership with Buxton gives Aaron’s the capability to define optimal custom territories and identify the trade areas and markets where expansion would be the most profitable for us,” said Josh Newman, senior director of real estate for Aaron’s, which operates 1,814company-owned and franchised stores in 48 states. “We are also focusing on our existing network of stores to understand how we can optimize those markets where we already have brand presence.”
As part of this alliance, Aaron’s joins a growing list of organizations utilizing Scout, a web-based site selection and management application developed by Buxton. Scout can be used as a pre-screening tool for real estate location decisions and a comprehensive site management system.
Modell’s to open smaller concept store at Interstate Shopping Center
Ramsey, N.J. — Welco Realty, an X Team partner, announced that it has signed a lease with Modell’s Sporting Goods for its new smaller-concept store, the retailer’s first in New Jersey.
The store is approximately 8,551 sq. ft., about half its standard size. Modell’s first small-format store opened on Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan.
New leases signed at Hills Village Center
Bedminster, N.J. — North Plainfield, N.J.-based Levin Management Corp. said that Great Clips has opened a 960-sq.-ft. salon, and Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa (2,317 sq. ft.) along with eateries Panchero’s (2,500 sq. ft.) and Subway (1,240 sq. ft.) will all open shortly at The Hills Village Center, in Bedminster, N.J.
In addition, Levin said that Kings supermarket is renovating its store and adding 4,515 sq. ft. Recent leasing activity coupled with renovations have successfully repositioned the 109,800-sq.-ft. center, according to Dale Mulartrick, director of leasing for Levin.
