Arirang Japanese Bistro to open at Sycamore Plaza

Cincinnati — Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased restaurant space to Arirang Japanese Bistro at Sycamore Plaza in Cincinnati.

The Japanese Hibachi steak house and sushi restaurant leased 7,600 sq. ft. and is slated to open in the fall. The dining establishment is taking the space formerly occupied by Max & Erma’s restaurant.

The 390,957-sq.-ft. shopping center combines two properties with Sycamore Plaza and Sycamore Crossing and is anchored by Macy’s Furniture Gallery, Toys “R” Us and Dick’s Sporting Goods, alongside national retailers such as Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Old Navy and Staples.

Dos Lagos re-launches brand

Corona, Calif. — The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos, in Corona, Calif., announced it has changed its name to The Shops at Dos Lagos. This change kicks off the branding re-launch and includes a new logo design, website design, URL address to ShopDosLagos.com, and signage.

In August 2010, The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos conducted an in-market focus group seeking feedback from the community about the center’s future, including review of the new name and logo. This focus group, made up of Corona community members, selected the name The Shops at Dos Lagos and the new logo for the branding re-launch.

Installation of temporary signage began on April 14, and will be replaced with new permanent signs pending final design and City approvals.

The Shops at Dos Lagos features more than 60 specialty stores, restaurants and services including a 15-screen movie theater, Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Coldwater Creek, Talbots, Trader Joe´s, Sur La Table, Victoria´s Secret, Z Gallerie and more.

Mid-America closes on six retail leases at Chicago shopping centers

Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. — Mid-America Asset Management said that several retail leases have been completed at six shopping centers in Chicago’s western suburbs. Mid-America is the exclusive leasing representative of each of the centers.

The Shops at South Elgin (South Elgin, Ill.) signed a lease for 6,604 sq. ft. with independent health food/vitamin retailer Fruitful Yield, to expand the current tenant’s space by 3,264 sq. ft. The newly expanded store is expected to open June 1.

Broadview Village Square (Broadview, Ill., in Cook County) signed a lease for 3,974 sq. ft. with ATI Physical Therapy, which plans to open in May.

The Quarry (Hodgkins, Ill.) signed a lease for 2,593 sq. ft. with Palm Beach Tan that plans to open later this spring. 1480 Orchard Road (Aurora, Ill.) signed a lease for 1,505 sq. ft. with dentist Beth Zaun DDS. Naperville Crossing (Naperville, Ill.) signed a lease for 1,339 sq. ft. with Jamba Enterprises LLC d/b/a Tan Express, which recently opened, taking space vacated by V-Tan. And Geneva Commons (Geneva, Ill.) signed a lease for 1,200 sq. ft. with yogurt franchise Yogen Früz, which plans to open in the summer, while Finish Line renewed its lease for 5,072 sq. ft.
