Artisinal Brands to open first store
New York — Artisanal Brands, a marketer and distributor of specialty, artisanal and farmstead cheeses and other specialty food products, has signed a long-term lease on a new Artisanal Cheese Center in New York City with cheese aging caves, production and office facilities, as well as the first retail outlet to be owned and managed by the company.
The new location, The Falchi Building in Long Island City, Queens, is owned and operated by Jamestown, a nationwide real estate investor and manager of major commercial properties, including Chelsea Market in Manhattan.

Dowe, president and CEO of Artisanal said, "Our search for a new location took two years to complete as we sought a multiple-use facility that could accommodate our entire operation and provide us with a retail outlet. This will be the first retail location operated by Artisanal and will give us a unique opportunity to showcase our premium-quality products and add a new revenue stream
Shopko taps Genco for transportation procurement project
Pittsburgh — Genco has been selected to manage a truckload transportation procurement event for Shopko. The collaborative effort will encompass Shopko’s inbound and outbound transportation network and is the third strategic procurement engagement Genco has provided to Shopko.

Ground broken for new Premium Outlets Montreal
Montreal — Simon Property Group, SmartCentres and Calloway REIT hosted a ground-breaking ceremony on Wednesday to begin the construction of Premium Outlets Montreal, the second Premium Outlet Center in Canada.
The first phase of Premium Outlets Montreal will open in the fall of 2014 and will feature more than 80 upscale stores within the planned 366,000 sq. ft. center.
Montreal follows the successful opening of Toronto Premium Outlets in August 2013, Simon and Calloway’s first outlet center in Canada.
The Montreal center will be located in Mirabel, Quebec. The single level, village-style development will have a contemporary, sophisticated design for an upscale shopping atmosphere.
