Ashley Furniture taps TD Retail Card Services to develop credit card program
Mahwah, N.J. — Ashley Furniture Industries has selected TD Retail Card Services (TDRCS) to develop and administer a private label credit card program for its Furnish123 retail concept. The format is focused on single-category pricing.
Under the agreement, the Mahwah, N.J-based business unit of TD Bank, N.A., will direct all facets of the program for Furnish123. It will offer consumers a variety of custom financing options, as well as other special incentives and offers.
Charming Shoppes expands online presence globally
Bensalem, Pa. — Plus-size retailer Charming Shoppes said Tuesday that it expanded its online reach globally, allowing worldwide online access to fashion brands Lane Bryant, Cacique, Catherines, Fashion Bug and Loop 18, as well as the more than 300 brands offered at the company’s new plus-size shopping hub, Sonsi.com.
Charming Shoppes’ partnership with New York City-based e-commerce provider FiftyOne has expanded online shopping to more than 80 countries and territories worldwide. According to the company, all international orders are inclusive of duty, VAT and customs clearance with no surprise C.O.D. charges.
Belk names new operations leadership
Charlotte, N.C. — Department store retailer Belk said Tuesday it has named Mark Chandler as executive VP operations, reporting to Johnny Belk, president and COO.
Chandler was previously senior VP supply chain for Price Chopper Supermarkets.
