Atherton Mill and Market announces new tenants

Charlotte, N.C. — Columbia, S.C.-based Edens & Avant announced that Atherton Mill and Market will soon welcome several new tenants.

Vin Master will open a 1,661-sq.-ft. wine concept retail store at Atherton Mill. In addition to its permanent retail location in Atherton Mill, Vin Master will also become the first permanent vendor at the Atherton Farmers Market, located at the center.

Vin Master will open in first quarter 2011.

Sola Salons will open its third Charlotte location at Atherton Mill, with an anticipated opening date in January. And Big Ben’s British Pub will reopen in December along the Tremont Avenue street frontage of Atherton Mill.

Engineering firm Kimley Horn is consolidating its two Charlotte locations into approximately 15,000 sq. ft. of prime office space at Atherton Mill for approximately 60 employees. The Atherton site was specifically chosen for its location on the Charlotte Light Rail and proximity to Uptown.

Along with the farmers market, Ice House Restaurant and Ferguson Enterprises, Atherton Mill and Market is also home to American Community Bank; Rudino’s Pizza and Grinders; Evolution Fitness; By Design; In Sync and Luna Café.

Stokas Realty merges with Bieri Co.

Detroit — X Team, an international alliance of retail real estate advisors, has announced a partnership between Detroit X Team Partner Stokas Realty Advisors and Detroit-based Bieri Co., resulting in the formation of Stokas Bieri Real Estate.

SBRE specializes in site selection for retailers nationwide and offers additional services, including project leasing, disposition of excess properties, restructuring, market analysis and legal services.

Pine Tree Commercial expands shopping center portfolio

Northbrook, Ill. — Pine Tree Commercial Realty announced it has acquired Loch Leven Plaza in the Orlando, Fla. suburbs, expanding Pine Tree’s portfolio to include the state of Florida.

The company purchased the Publix-anchored shopping center in Mt. Dora, Fla., on Nov. 5. Pine Tree will be handling the property management and leasing for the center.

Publix occupies 54,340 sq. ft. at the new plaza and opened last May. The center, which was completed in March, is 99% leased.
