Athleta to open new store at Vernon Hills shopping center
Scarsdale, N.Y. — Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners said that Athleta, a division of Gap, has signed a lease for 5,833 sq. ft. to build and operate one of its first suburban stores in New York at Vernon Hills Shopping Center in Scarsdale/Eastchester, N.Y.
A spring 2012 opening is planned.
Vernon Hills Shopping Center was Westchester County’s first lifestyle center and is anchored by Lord & Taylor, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Talbot’s, American Eagle, The Gap/Gap Kid’s, Fig & Olive and more.
Dollar Tree opens at Pine Tree Shopping Center
Portland, Maine — Brixmor Property Group announced a 11,002-sq.-ft. Dollar Tree recently opened at Pine Tree Shopping Center, in Portland, Maine.
Brixmor, based in New York City, is the owner of Pine Tree Shopping Center.
Icebreaker to open in mixed-use building near Union Square
San Francisco — Grosvenor Americas said that its mixed-use building at 180 Post Street just off San Francisco’s Union Square will soon be home to Icebreaker, which will sell its exclusive line of merino wool adventure apparel in a new 1,500-sq.-ft. store.
The new store is slated to open on Nov. 21, and by March 2012 the New Zealand- based retailer will complete the store’s conversion to a “TouchLab” that enables customers to touch raw merino fibers.
Other retail tenants at the 29,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use building include Coach, The North Face and Café Coton.
