Atrium acquires Galeria Dominikanska
Wroclaw, Poland — Atrium European Real Estate has acquired the Galeria Dominikanska shopping center in the Polish city of Wroclaw for E151.7 million, according to Dentons Europe, which advised Atrium on the transaction.
Atrium owns operates and develops retail real estate and shopping centers in Central and Eastern Europe.
“This transaction highlights the growing levels of activity in the Polish real estate market, which we expect will continue,” said Evan Z. Lazar, real estate co-chairman of Dentons Europe.
Modell’s opens new Long Island stores
New York — Modell’s Sporting Goods will celebrate the grand opening of two new stores in Long Island today. The stores are located in the Huntington Shopping Center and Fivetowns Shopping Center.
The new stores will boost the company’s store-count to 155.
Deliv and GGP make same-day-delivery plan
Palo Alto, Calif. — A subsidiary of General Growth Properties has partnered with Deliv, a company that provides national multichannel retailers with low-cost same-day delivery through crowd-sourced drivers. The initiative aims to meet evolving consumer demands for swifter delivery.
Services will begin at four GGP properties: Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco, Eastridge in San Jose, Glendale Galleria in Los Angeles and Oakbrook Center in Chicago. Shoppers will purchase online from participating retailers and receive deliveries the same day. Shoppers can also purchase goods at the mall and order same-day delivery. The cost is the same or less than standard shipping.
