Big Lots hosts career fairs in Northern California

Columbus, Ohio – Big Lots Inc. is hosting three career fairs in the San Francisco Bay and San Jose areas the first week of March. The retailer has opportunities for experienced store management, entry-level management, store associates, and stockers.

"We’re looking for people committed to delivering terrific service in a fast-paced retail environment," said regional HR manager Bill Armstrong. "This is a great opportunity to meet and interact with a prospective employer and make a real impact."

ECommera completes $41 million funding round

London — ECommera, a provider of Big Data and omni-channel commerce solutions for retailers, has completed a $41 million Series C funding round. Dawn Capital led the round together with investors West Coast Capital, Frog Capital, EPlanet Capital, WPP and new partner Wti.

The funding will be used to advance global growth of a next generation "Decision Intelligent Commerce" solution built exclusively for retailers. This solution will combine Big Data predictive analytics with online, mobile and operational software to allow retailers to sell everywhere and fulfill from anywhere.

Notable customers include Asda, House of Fraser, Neiman Marcus, Brooks Brothers, Lifetime Brands, Bouclair, and Clarins.

Toys ‘R’ Us mobile exec joins Single Touch

Jersey City, N.J. — Adam Meshekow, former mobile brand marketing manager for Toys “R” Us Inc., is joining mobile media solutions provider Single Touch Systems Inc. as head of national retail sales. Meshekow will work with management to help architect plans for future client engagement and product development and deployment.

Prior to joining Single Touch, Meshekow led and executed new marketing strategies for the emerging mobile channel at Toys “R” Us. Working with multiple stakeholders, Meshekow executed numerous campaigns including building an opt-in SMS database, location based mobile media placement, mobile web, social media, and paid search. Prior to joining Toys “R” Us, he was a mobile marketing director at Seqrets LLC, where he managed mobile marketing operations from ideation to launch.
