Burger King launches in-store Wi-Fi upgrade

Miami – Burger King Corp. is launching AT&T Wi-Fi services for all of its U.S. restaurants. The upgraded platform, "Whopper Wi-Fi,” replaces and upgrades current restaurant Wi-Fi networks.

Benefits of the new, streamlined Wi-Fi platform include customizable set-up and consistent service at all stores.

"Whopper Wi-Fi is about improving the in-restaurant experience for our guests,” said Alex Macedo, president, North America, Burger King. “Most of our guests carry smartphones or tablets, and this upgrade makes their time with us easier and more enjoyable. We are committed to enhancing our digital platforms across the board and having Whopper Wi-Fi is just the beginning."

QVC plans France expansion

West Chester, Pa. – QVC Inc. plans to expand its European presence into France. With the launch of the new service scheduled for the second quarter of 2015, QVC will expand its e-commerce business to seven operations reaching nine countries.

QVC is working closely with Invest in France Agency, the national agency responsible for promoting and facilitating international investment in France, and regional organization, the Paris Region Economic Development Agency (PREDA), to prepare its entry into the French marketplace. QVC will offer an immersive digital shopping experience, with integration across ecommerce, TV, mobile and social platforms.

"As the second largest economy in the European Union, with a robust ecommerce sector and solid digital infrastructure, France offers a strong opportunity for QVC," said Mike George, president and CEO of QVC Inc. "Over 27 years, QVC has become the world’s largest video and ecommerce retailer, changing the way the world shops by reimagining shopping, entertainment and social as one. We believe this, in addition to QVC’s stellar customer service, will hold great appeal for French shoppers."

PriceGrabber, StellaService partner to offer customer service data

New York – PriceGrabber and StellaService are launching a partnership where PriceGrabber will display StellaService’s online retailer ratings and customer service performance data on PriceGrabber.com. In addition, PriceGrabber will act as a distribution partner for StellaService to its network of digital publishers.

StellaService is an independent provider of customer service performance ratings and analytics for online retailers. Starting April 16, when consumers search for a product on PriceGrabber, the retailer’s customer service rating will appear alongside the list of prices in search results. StellaService’s ratings and customer service performance data is also available to PriceGrabber publisher sites via subscription.

As part of the partnership, the StellaService Seal of quality customer service will be added to product, search, and merchant information pages within PriceGrabber. StellaService data will be displayed to provide consumers with detailed information about the following metrics across retailers: average time to reach a live agent over the phone, average email response time, average number of days to delivery, percentage of products delivered on time, number of days for their return policy, and number of days to issue a refund.
