Canadian retailer aims online fitness store at U.S. customers

Williams Lake, B.C. – Canadian e-commerce company UNA Global LLC is opening a new online retail site, FitnessConnections4U.com. The site specializes in at-home fitness products such as weights, benches, exercise mats and vitamins and supplements. It also offers a free blog with product reviews, exercise routines, safety precautions, and articles.

Although a Canada-based company, UNA Global LLC primarily serves U.S. customers and can deliver products anywhere in the U.S.

Karis Ventures launches kitchen retail site

Austin, Minn. — Karis Ventures LLC, an online retailer of kitchen products, has unveiled a new e-commerce site known as MyNewKitchenProducts.com. Product categories include blenders, coffee makers, cookware sets, food dehydrators, frying pans, juicers, kitchen carts, pasta makers, pot racks, pressure cookers, refrigerators and mini fridges, rice cookers, wine racks and wine coolers. Customers can filter products by price and create personal accounts to track orders.

Famous Brands names Courtney CEO

Broomfield, Colo. – Famous Brands International, parent company of TCBY Yogurt and Mrs. Fields Cookies, has appointed Neal Courtney as CEO. Neal had been serving as the company’s interim CEO since February and served as COO since May 2012.

"Since taking over as Interim CEO, Neal has continued to be instrumental in creating a strong and stable foundation to support Famous Brands’ growth and success," said James J. Zenni, chairman of Famous Brands International. "We are confident that Neal is the right person to help lead Famous Brands into the future and capitalize on the tremendous opportunities that the company has across all of its channels. Courtney has worked for Famous Brands since 2005 and held roles in finance, sales, and general management. Prior to joining the company, Courtney held various senior positions in finance and strategy at Frito-Lay and Kmart Corporation.
