Carter’s to open in Alameda, Calif., center
Alameda, Calif. — Carter’s, a children’s clothing and accessories retailer, has signed a 10-year lease for a 4,178-sq.-ft. store at Alameda South Shore Center in Alameda, Calif., according to Jamestown, a real estate investment and management firm.
The new store, located close to Kohl’s, is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2014. SRS Real Estate Partners represented Carter’s in the transaction.
South Shore Center is a 594,000-sq.-ft. open-air shopping center.
New retailers sign into Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove, Minn.
Minneapolis — The Opus Group has announced office and retail leases and two land sales in the Arbor Lakes development in Maple Grove, Minn.
Pro Ag Management Inc. will occupy 9,179 sq. ft. on the second floor of the North End Office and Retail Building. With the Pro Ag lease, the center’s office space is now 100% leased. On the retail side, Sola Salon Studios has leased 4,524 sq. ft. of ground-level retail space in the same building. Colliers International brokers represented the tenants as well as Opus in these transactions.
The land sales took place at the Fountains at Arbor Lakes. KF Dental Company LLC acquired 1.3 acres, and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers purchased1.39 acres.
Hempel Companies represented KF Dental, while Colliers brokers represented Freddy’s and Opus www.opus-group.com in the sale transactions.
Dickey’s BBQ Pit to Plaza Escondida in Tucson
Tucson, Ariz. — Dickey’s BBQ Pit has signed a 2,700-sq.-ft. lease at the Plaza Escondida Shopping Center in Tucson, Ariz. Keller Williams Southern Arizona represented the tenant in the transaction. CBRE represented the landlord, Roseville Tucson LLC.
Dickey’s BBQ Pit is one of the fastest growing chains in the country, ranking fourth on Nation’s Restaurant News Second 100 list. The franchise has four other locations in Arizona, all in the Phoenix metro area. This lease marks the first location in Tucson and southern Arizona.
