CBL names CFO, promotes Reinsmidt

Chattanooga, Tenn. — CBL & Associates Properties announced that Farzana Mitchell has succeeded John Foy as CFO.

Foy will remain in the near term as executive vice chairman to provide continuity through the transition.

In addition, the CBL board announced that Katie Reinsmidt has been promoted to the new position of senior VP – investor relations and corporate investments.

Burberry, Tag Heuer to open at Westfield Valley Fair

Santa Clara, Calif. — Burberry, Tag Heuer and Wolford will join Westfield Valley Fair’s collection of luxury retailers, marking the debut of the South Bay shopping center’s first phase of significant expansion.

The new stores will join Cartier, Mont Blanc, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co. on the east side of Westfield Valley Fair.

The expansion of high-end retailers will take place over the next year, starting with Wolford –an Austrian company that creates women’s clothing, lingerie, hosiery and accessories – now open. Mont Blanc has just completed a major renovation, and Tiffany & Co. will be opening a new store near the entrance to Nordstrom on Sept. 21.

Current tenants at Westfield Valley Fair include Cartier, Tory Burch, CH Premier, Michael Kors, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Macy’s Men’s and Home, Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn.

Construction launched at Blvd Place

Houston — Wulfe & Co., managing partner of Blvd Place, said that construction has started on Phase II of the mixed-use development located in The Uptown District of Houston.

Blvd Place will contain retail, office and residential components in an urban environment. This phase of the project is 60% pre-leased and will contain approximately 211,000 sq. ft. of upscale retail, restaurant and office space. The retail space will be anchored by a 48,500-sq.-ft. Whole Foods Market.

Phase I of Blvd Place was completed in 2009 with a four-level, 70,000-sq.-ft. retail/office building, which features Restaurant RDG+Bar Annie, Philippe Restaurant, Hermes and Herman Miller. In May, the Apache Corp. acquired 6.4 acres in Blvd Place for its Houston headquarters.
