CertaPro Painters Commercial Services Appoints Director of Business Development
CertaPro Painters Commercial Services, North America’s largest commercial painting contractor, announced the appointment of Pete Cobb to director of business development. In his new position, Cobb will be focused on designing and implementing programs for all customer segments, as CertaPro continues to expand market share for its quality commercial painting services.
Cobb comes to CertaPro with more than 22 years of experience in sales and management at the Sherwin-Williams Company, having spent his last five years in the painting and coatings industry as the company’s national account manager.
Wal-Mart Names VP for Grocery Business
Bentonville, Ark. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced that a former executive from Safeway PLC and Tesco has been named its executive VP of grocery merchandise.
Jack Sinclair will be in charge of planning, category management and general oversight of Wal-Mart’s U.S. grocery business.
Sinclair was group marketing and trading director at Safeway PLC. He previously worked for Tesco Stores Ltd., which is launching a U.S. effort.
Macy’s Chairman to Appear on ‘The Apprentice’
Cincinnati Macy’s chairman Terry J. Lundgren is slated to appear on an upcoming episode of Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice.”
Lundgren, also president and CEO of Macy’s, will be a guest judge for one episode on the NBC television show that pits celebrities against one another in business-related tasks.
The first episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” aired at 9 p.m. Thursday on NBC. Lundgren isn’t expected to appear on the show until later this month.
“Terry Lundgren was terrific on the show,” Trump said Thursday morning, hours before the debut of the seventh season. “Some people have brains, and a lot have the looks, but rarely do you see both qualities together. Terry brought great perspective to the boardroom and in front of some very tough people.”
