Charlotte Russe 1Q Same-Store Sales Up
San Diego, Charlotte Russe Holdings Inc. said Wednesday its first-quarter same-store sales rose 1.5%.
Meanwhile, total sales for the period ended Dec. 29 surged 13.9% to $238.2 million from $209.2 million.
Charlotte Russe said its same-store sales results beat its previous forecast for a flat to low single-digit decline.
Bass joins Tractor Supply board of directors
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. Tractor Supply Company today announced that William Bass has been appointed to the company’s board of directors.
Bass co-founded and currently serves as ceo for Fair Indigo, a direct response men’s and women’s apparel retailer formed on the premise of “fair trade.” Prior to that, he held several management positions with Sears, Roebuck & Company and was responsible for leading the e- commerce initiatives for Sears Customer Direct and Lands’ End, where he grew landsend.com from $60 million in annual sales to more than $550 million.

Nintendo names new Latin America head
REDMOND, Wash. Nintendo of America announced the appointment of Bill Van Zyll as director and general manager of Latin America, effective immediately.
Van Zyll heads Nintendo of America’s Latin America department, which is responsible for the creation, direction and implementation of short- and long-term sales, marketing, and operational strategies for Latin America.
Before joining Nintendo, Van Zyll was with Whirlpool for more than 15 years, where for the past four years he has served as director of finance for sales for the company’s North American region.
