CVS Announces Exec Changes
Woonsocket, R.I. CVS on Wednesday announced several executive moves, including the retirement of Kevin Smith, senior VP of supply chain and logistics, at the end of 2008.
Smith has been with CVS for the past eight years and made numerous contributions to the organization, including the integration of six new distribution centers.
In other moves, Ron Link has been promoted to senior VP of logistics, reporting to Larry Merlo, president of CVS Retail.
Link will be responsible for leading the company’s logistics division in managing inventory and capacity, developing distribution solutions and providing logistics service to CVS’ 6,300 stores.
NEW YORK Paul Ward has been named to the newly formed position of evp of primetime acquisitions and strategy for Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group.
Ward comes back to Nickelodeon and the MTVN Kids and Family Group after serving as senior vp of communications for TV Land, where he oversaw and managed all facets of publicity, media relations and pro-social efforts for the network.
Golf Galaxy ceo to leave in July
PITTSBURGH Randall Zanatta as stepping down as president and ceo of Golf Galaxy, a subsidiary of Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Zanatta served in the position for a little more than a year and his departure will be effective in mid-July.
