Destination Maternity names president
Philadelphia Destination Maternity Corp., which owns maternity wear retailers including A Pea in the Pod, said Monday it hired a new president, replacing founder Rebecca Matthias.
Emilia Fabricant, formerly president and chief marketing officer of Charlotte Russe, will take over as president immediately.
Matthias will retain her title of chief creative officer. She announced earlier that she plans to retire at the end of fiscal 2010 in September.
Blockbuster adds Dore to slate of board nominees
Dallas Blockbuster said Friday that its board of directors has nominated Kathleen Dore to its board of directors.
She has been nominated to fill the seat to be vacated by James Crystal.
Dore is a veteran cable television executive with over three decades of media and entertainment industry leadership experience. She most recently served as president, broadcasting, at Canwest Media, a Canadian media company with a portfolio of world-class brands spanning across multiple media platforms.
Delhaize announces senior management changes
Brussels, Belgium Belgian international food retailer Delhaize Group said Friday that its executive VP of Delhaize Group and CEO of Delhaize America Shared Services Rick Anicetti is leaving the company.
Carol Herndon, currently senior VP accounting and finance of Delhaize America, has been named chief administrative officer of Delhaize America, reporting to Pierre-Olivier Beckers, president and CEO of Delhaize Group and of Delhaize America.
Herndon will oversee finance, information technology, legal and government relations, communications, and corporate development.
Ron Hodge, executive VP of Delhaize Group and CEO of Delhaize America Operations will add human resources for Delhaize America to his current responsibilities.
Delhaize’s U.S. supermarket banners include Food Lion and Bloom.
