Developers Diversified announces management training appointees

Beachwood, Ohio Developers Diversified Realty Corp. announced its 2010 appointments to the company’s Management Training Program.

The 2010 Management Training Program class includes Ilya Weinstein from Colgate University, Alex Antolino from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Jeremy Hopkins from Yale University.

Developers Diversified launched its Management Training Program in 2000 to cultivate young talent into experienced commercial real estate leaders. The program’s curriculum allows trainees to gain valuable exposure to the company’s key operating departments including leasing, development, anchor store redevelopment, property management, investor relations, acquisitions & dispositions, and joint venture relations.

“Fostering talent is a critical component of being on the cutting edge of any industry,” said Daniel B. Hurwitz, president and CEO of Developers Diversified. “This program provides each trainee personal mentoring by our executives, giving them the opportunity to experience a variety of responsibilities and exposure to all aspects of the organization, and graduates of the program have assumed numerous leadership positions within the company.”

Neiman Marcus’ Last Call Studio to open in Md.

New York City Neiman Marcus will open a Last Call Studio store at Congressional Plaza, in Rockville, Md., this fall. It is the outlet brand’s second location to date.

The 13,300-sq.-ft, store features upscale  trendy apparel and accessories in a discount-boutique environment.

Tommy Hilfiger to open Paris flagship

Amsterdam Tommy Hilfiger Group will open a 9,000-sq.-ft. flagship store on the Champs des Elysees in Paris, this fall.

“The Champs Elysees store will serve as a true flagship for our brand in France and will further anchor our significant retail presence in Europe,” said Fred Gehring, CEO of the Tommy Hilfiger Group, which is wholly owned by Phillips-Van Heusen Corp.

The three-floor store will pay tribute to the brand’s heritage by incorporating an eclectic mix of vintage furniture and props from America as well as those from France.
