Dickey’s launches omnichannel campaign
Dallas — Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurant, Inc. has launched its first multimedia brand advertising campaign with the new company tagline, “We Speak Barbecue.” The new campaign uses both music and visuals and includes multiple 30-second national television spots, radio advertisements and a digital campaign.
In conjunction with the new campaign, Dickey’s is launching a social media contest that asks guests “What is barbecue to you?” Guests are asked to upload a photo or video on the national Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page using the hashtag #WeSpeakBarbecue. The best photo will win free barbecue for an entire year.
Oyster ebook service expands platforms
New York — Unlimited ebook subscription service provider Oyster has launched Web and mobile Web readers. Now available to read on Web and mobile web browsers, the expansion marks Oyster’s second new platform since June 2014, when it launched an Android platform.
Oyster continues its partnership with two of the five largest publishers in the world, and six of the top 10. Oyster is available for $9.95 per month and scrolls top to bottom like a blog.
Sam’s Club to open Colorado store in 2015
Bentonville, Ark. — Sam’s Club has purchased an approximately 13-acre parcel to build its new store at Village at the Peaks in Longmont, Colorado. Sam’s Club plans to build a new 136,000-sq.-ft. store to anchor the northernmost location in the project.
The 480,000-sq.-ft. Village at the Peaks is being developed by NewMark Merrill Mountain States and is scheduled to open in late 2015. Other key anchors Whole Foods, Gold’s Gym and a state-of-the-art Regal Cinema.
