Disney Store opens Fashion Show Mall location
Las Vegas — Disney Store has opened its newest store, located at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, and featuring a wider array of immersive experiences.
Grand-opening on Aug. 17, the new Disney Store will include a Disney Princess castle, magical trees, Disney∙Pixar CARS neighborhood and the Disney Store Theater; unique to Las Vegas is a custom skyline on the ceiling with iconic Disney storytelling scenes and Nevada landmarks.
"Disney Store brings the magic of Disney to life every day in Las Vegas," said Jonathan Storey, VP, Disney Store. "We’ve created an interactive shopping destination that offers engaging experiences for Disney fans of all ages to enjoy."
Evanston Plaza welcomes three new tenants
Evanston, Ill. — Three new tenants are coming to the 212,373-sq.-ft. Evanston Plaza on Chicago’s North Shore, according to Mid-America Asset Management Inc., the exclusive representative of the center.
DaVita, a division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc., signed a lease for 10,000 sq. ft. and plans to open a kidney dialysis center in the fall of 2013. The U.S. Army & Marines lease 2,424 sq. ft. for a recruitment center. Papa Romeo’s Pizza has taken 1,464 sq. ft.
JCI Real Estate Alliance represented DaVita. The other tenants were self-represented.
Corner Bakery signs deals for 61 new locations
Dallas — Corner Bakery Cafe announced that it is entering the Oklahoma and Massachusetts markets, as well as three new markets in Florida and California as part of five multi-unit restaurant franchise agreements.
The agreements represent nine new restaurants in San Diego, seven in Oklahoma, 14 in Tampa, 10 in Northeast Florida and 21 in Boston. The first cafes in each market are expected to open next year.
Overall, the agreements add 61 new cafes, raising the total to almost 300 committed cafes, as the company moves forward on its goal to more than double its U.S. footprint in the next three to four years.
