DSW opens new stores Oct. 3
Columbus, Ohio – DSW Inc. will open new stores in Baltimore and in Lafayette, La. on Oct. 3.
The Baltimore store will be located at 3501 Boston Street and the Lafayette store will be located at 609 Settlers Trace Blvd. Customers will be able to participate in the DSW Rewards loyalty program and also participate in the DSW Shoe Lover community on Facebook to receive exclusive offers and giveaways.
99 Cents Only opens stores in Southwest
City of Commerce, Calif. – 99 Cents Only Stores, Inc. is opening two new stores in the Southwestern U.S. today. One is located in Arizona, and one in Texas.
99 Cents Only is opening its first store in Laveen, Ariz. at 3610 West Baseline Road. The store is approximately 11,685 sq. ft. and will feature a perishable food department, including produce, dairy and frozen foods.
The retailer is also opening its first store in McAllen, Texas at 2246 West Nolana Avenue. The new store is approximately 18, 960 sq. ft. and will also feature a perishable food department, including produce, dairy and frozen foods.
99 Cents Only currently operates 329 extreme value retail stores consisting of 238 stores in California, 43 in Texas, 31 in Arizona, and 17 in Nevada
Report: Starbucks files for ‘Fizzio’ trademark
Seattle – Starbucks Corporation has reportedly applied to trademark the term “Fizzio.” According to the Associated Press, the trademark would cover beverage-making machines as well as beverages, including soft drinks.
A Starbucks spokesperson is quoted as saying the filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is related to tests of flavored sodas and other carbonated beverages in the Austin, Texas, and Atlanta markets the retailer has been running since June, which so far have been successful.
