Dunkin’ Donuts to open seven restaurants in northern Utah
Canton, Mass. — Dunkin’ Donuts said Monday it has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with existing franchisee Sizzling Donuts to open seven new restaurants in northern Utah.
The first restaurant is slated to open in 2013, with the remainder by 2020.
In 2012, Sizzling Platter formed the subsidiary Sizzling Donuts and signed multi-unit franchise agreements to develop 36 new restaurants throughout Salt Lake City, Denver, and El Paso, Texas, over the next several years. Sizzling Donuts currently operates five Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in El Paso and two more are currently under construction in the El Paso area. The group plans to open a total of eight additional units by the end of this year.

Saks Off 5th to open in Chandler, Ariz.
New York — Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th will open its doors in Chandler, Ariz., on Thursday, April 4, 2013.
The new 28,000-sq.-ft. store is located in Phoenix Premium Outlets, which is opening to the public that day. The new outlet center, owned and operated by Simon Property Group, is part of Wild Horse Pass, within the Gila River Indian Community, which includes hotels, a spa, casino, golf, an equestrian center, fine dining and more.
Crossroads Cos. names leasing head
Mahwah, N.J. — Crossroad Cos. announced Thursday that it has named Carlo J. Caparruva as EVP of leasing services, charged with overseeing all leasing activities related to Crossroads’ development projects and existing portfolio, as well as third-party real estate services.
Crossroads’ portfolio encompasses approximately 700,000 sq. ft. of grocery-anchored shopping centers and free-standing single net-leased properties throughout New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. The company said it is focusing on expanding its market presence in Central and Northern New Jersey as well as Rockland and Orange counties in New York.
Caparruva previously served as a director with Fameco Real Estate and as a principal and broker of record with Fidelity Properties.
