Everlast’s lightweight, ergonomic fight glove packs punch
NEW YORK — Everlast Worldwide has rolled out a new professional fight glove. Called the PowerLock Fight Glove, it secures a fighter’s hand in a natural fist position via a stable, compact chamber.
Lightweight and ergonomic, the glove is joins the MX, 1910 and Protex3 in the company’s “elite” professional glove line. The company touts it as a “strong alternative” to boxers looking for a powerful glove.

The PowerLock Fight Glove has already made its debut in the professional boxing ring, most notably when Lucas Matthysse defeated Lamont Peterson via TKO, as well as in Amir Khan’s victory over Julio Diaz. The PowerLock will be showcased Saturday, June 8, when Chad Dawson defends his WBC belt against Adonis Stevenson.

New sales team leader for Balance Innovations
LENEXA, Kan. — A little more than two weeks after bringing in former Safeway executive Steve Rempel as its new president and CEO, Balance Innovations has named Jay Atkinson its EVP of business development.
In this role, Atkinson will be responsible for managing the national sales team, as well as the development and execution of the company’s sales strategy.
"I am excited to join an organization dedicated to providing technology solutions specifically developed for retailers," said Atkinson. "I look forward to working with the team as we build on our success and expand our next generation of solutions beyond cash office management."
Atkinson most recently was senior vice president of business development at Revolution Retail Systems. Prior to that, he was responsible for sales and products in the armored car industry while at ATI Systems/Garda and Dunbar.

Marcus & Millichap promotes Douglas K. Mandel
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has promoted Douglas K. Mandel to first VP investments. Mandel also serves as senior director of the firm’s National Office and Industrial Properties Group and director of the National Retail Group.
