Express names COO, CFO
Columbus, Ohio — Express has promoted Matthew C. Moellering to the position of COO, and appointed D. Paul Dascoli as CFO.
Moellering was previously chief administration Officer and CFO. Dascoli most recently served as CFO for VF Jeanswear Limited Partnership, a division of VF Corp.
IBM details customer wins at Summit
San Diego — At its first Smarter Commerce Global Summit, IBM announced a range of wins with clients across global industries. By deploying solutions for Smarter Commerce, these clients are capitalizing on rapid shifts in customer demand, improving their performance and appeal to new digital age consumers, IBM said.
The Smarter Commerce initiative is focused on helping companies more effectively market, sell and secure greater customer loyalty in the era of social networking, mobile computing and online buying. The retailers working with IBM to transform commerce include Petco, Sears Holdings Corporation, True Value Co, Winn-Dixie and Target Corp., among others.

SAP to acquire Crossgate
New York City — SAP announced it will acquire business-to-business (B2B) integration provider Crossgate, Munich. A leading provider of hosted B2B integration services, Crossgate enables companies to fully integrate and network with trading partners, clients and suppliers, allowing electronic data exchange with any business partner regardless of their technical capability.
As a result of the acquisition, SAP will enable networking at the enterprise level, providing an easy way for trading partners to collaborate, share data and automate processes that link customers and suppliers for streamlined B2B e-commerce.
