Family Dollar, nail salon extend leases at Mountainville Shopping Plaza

Allentown, Pa. — New York City-based The Lightstone Group announced two long-term lease extensions at Mountainville Shopping Plaza, its 118,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in Allentown, Pa.

Family Dollar has signed a 10-year lease extension for 9,135 sq. ft. of retail space at the shopping center. Studio II Nails has signed a four-year lease extension for 1,500 sq. ft.

Mountainville Shopping Plaza is anchored by a 33,000-sq.-ft. PriceRite Supermarket, an 11,500-sq.-ft. Retro Fitness gym and a 15,000-sq.-ft. Eckerd Pharmacy.

Bed Bath & Beyond to open at Shops at Tevis

Winchester, Va. — Bethesda, Md.-based Sax Realty said that Bed Bath & Beyond has leased 27,000 sq. ft. of space at Shops at Tevis in Winchester, Va.

Bed Bath & Beyond, which is slated to open in spring 2011, joins Borders Books, Hhgregg, Old Navy, Ross and Michael’s at the center.

Sports Authority, HomeGoods join Shops at Midtown Miami

Miami — Beachwood, Ohio-based Developers Diversified Realty Corp. said that The Sports Authority, HomeGoods and a selection of retail shops and restaurants are opening and coming soon to The Shops at Midtown Miami, a 645,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use retail, dining and residential center.

The Sports Authority plans to open a 34,544-sq.-ft. store in 2011. HomeGoods opened a 25,351-sq.-ft. location in late fall 2010.

Additional openings this year and next, according to Developers Diversified, include a variety of boutique retailers, off-price fashion and six new restaurants totaling approximately 20,000 sq. ft. The center is more than 90% leased.
