Former TJX CFO Reappointed to Role
Framingham, Mass. The TJX Cos. said Wednesday that Jeffrey Naylor will resume the role of CFO following the current CFO’s resignation.
Naylor will replace Nirmal “Trip” Tripathy, who resigned as CFO to pursue other opportunities, according to the company. Tripathy’s resignation takes effect Jan. 31, the end of the company’s fiscal year.
Naylor has been serving as the company’s chief administrative officer and senior executive VP and will continue in those duties. He previously served as CFO from Jan. 2004 to June 2007, when Tripathy became CFO.
Advance Auto Names New Execs
Roanoke, Va. Advance Auto Parts named Jim Wade as president. Wade, who previously served as the company’s executive VP, will be responsible for the chain’s customer-focused and sales functions, and will execute the company’s commercial expansion and DIY strategies.
Kevin Freeland has been appointed COO. He previously served as the company’s executive VP, merchandising, supply chain and information technology.
In his new role, Freeland will manage the company’s operations, including merchandising, inventory management, supply chain, store operational support, e-commerce, and information technology. He will also lead the company’s Availability Excellence and Superior Experience strategies.
Both executives will report to Darren Jackson, the company’s CEO, as well as Mike Norona, executive VP and CFO, and Keith Oreson, senior VP, human resources.
Blockbuster Names Leader for Digital Unit
Dallas Blockbuster has hired Kevin Lewis as senior VP, digital entertainment, a new position designed to expand and guide Blockbuster’s continued foray into digital entertainment.
Lewis previously served as chief of strategy and new business development at Philips Consumer Lifestyle, a product company that is part of Amsterdam-based Royal Philips.
