Fraport to manage retail malls at four U.S. airports
Frankfurt, Germany – Germany-based airport management services provide the Fraport Group has expanded its international portfolio in the global airport market by acquiring 100% of U.S.-based AMU Holdings Inc., which owns Airmall USA Holdings Inc. Airmall markets space at the aviation hubs of Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Together, these four hubs serve a total of about 70 million passengers per year. Airmall currently oversees about 366,000-sq.-ft. of space in the passenger terminals at the four airports – with about 270 retail and food and beverage outlets operated by international, national, regional and local tenants.
P.S. From Aeropostale launches brand in Mexico, 100 stores on tap
New York — Aeropostale, Inc. will roll out its P.S. from Aeropostale brand in Mexico through a licensing partnership with Distribuidora Liverpool, S.A. de C.V.
P.S. from Aeropostale’s expansion plans in Mexico include the opening of branded in-store shops in Liverpool department stores, as well as standalone stores, across Mexico beginning in summer 2014. The first store opened in July at Sante Fe Mall in Mexico City.
“In just one year, the Aeropostale brand has seen rapid growth and great strength in Mexico,” said Thomas P. Johnson, CEO, Aeropostale, Inc.
Johnson said the company plans to open more than 100 P.S. locations in the country over the next several years.
Phillips Edison-ARC expands portfolio in Texas with two acquisitions
Cincinnati — Phillips Edison-ARC Grocery Center REIT II, Inc. has acquired two grocery-anchored shopping centers, Northpark Village and Spring Cypress Village, both located in Texas.
Northpark Village is a 70,479-sq.-ft. grocery-anchored shopping center in Lubbock, anchored by United Supermarkets and tenanted by GNC, Starbucks, Super Tan and Sun Loan Company.
Spring Cypress Village is a 97,550-sq.-ft. grocery-anchored center in Houston, anchored by Sprouts and tenanted by Burger King, State Farm Insurance and Spec’s.
