Giant Appoints IT Director
Carlisle, Pa. Giant Food Stores has appointed Charles Achuff to serve as its director of information technology. Achuff will oversee vendor delivery and hardware infrastructure for information technology at the chain.
Before joining Giant, Achuff worked for Intec Billing Inc., EUR Systems, Contel, ALLTEL Information Services, and Diamond Shamrock Corp.
Oakleaf CEO a National Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winner
East Harford, Conn. Jim Barnes, president of CEO of Oakleaf, has been named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 national winner in the “Services” category.
The award recognizes business leaders and visionaries who demonstrate innovation, financial success and personal commitment as they create and build world-class organizations.
Barnes heads up Oakleaf, which provides sustainable waste logistics and recycling solutions to more than 100,000 locations throughout North America.
Earlier in the year, Barnes was the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 Award in the “Business Services” category in the New England region.
USM Welcomes Hauer to Business Development Team
USM, a national leader in facilities maintenance and management services, has hired industry veteran Jillian Hauer as their new business development executive for their technical service line. Hauer brings 18 years of HVAC and EMS experience and one year of experience in the lighting industry to the company. She has a broad background of working with national retail companies, education facilities, and commercial and industrial clients.
Hauer will be responsible for developing business throughout the United States for USM’s technical services, which include HVAC/R, electrical and lighting, roofing, repair and maintenance
