Golf Galaxy to open in East Hanover, N.J.
East Hanover, N.J. New York City-based Robert K. Futterman & Associates said it recently arranged a 23,000-sq.-ft. lease with Golf Galaxy in East Hanover, N.J.
The store is scheduled to open in December.
Golf Galaxy is a subsidiary of Dick’s Sporting Goods and operates 91 stores in 31 states.
Nordstrom Rack in Las Vegas to relocate
Seattle Nordstrom announced plans to relocate its Henderson, Nev., Nordstrom Rack from Silverado Ranch Plaza to Stephanie Street Power Center. The relocated 35,000-sq.-ft. store is expected to open in fall 2011.
The relocated Nordstrom Rack will be slightly larger than the existing store. Nordstrom also believes the Stephanie Street location will offer customers greater convenience, improved accessibility and more shopping choices in the surrounding area than at its current location. The store will be located at the northern end of the center near Barnes & Noble, and will join a retail mix that also includes OfficeMax, Pier 1 Imports, Michaels and Total Wine & More, among others. Harsch Investment Properties is the owner and manager of Stephanie Street Power Center.
Aeropostale sets opening of Times Square flagship
New York City Aeropostale will open a flagship in the heart of Manhattan’s Times Square on Oct. 22. The 15,000-sq.-ft. store is located at 1515 Broadway at 45th Street.
The store will feature two levels of shopping, including a dedicated T-shirt shop, a “Dorm Room,” a “Jean Library,” and a second floor “viewing room” that will look out onto Times Square below.
Designed by GHA design studios, Montreal, the flagship pays homage to Aeropostale’s heritage and its New York City roots with authentic New York decor, which include the use oversized subway tiles to line the cashwraps on both floors.
In keeping with its one-of-a-kind flagship status and design, the new Aeropostale will offer custom, limited-edition New York City merchandise that will not be available at other locations.
