Grubb & Ellis names VP retail group

Walnut Creek, Calif. — Grubb & Ellis Co. Said that it has named Robin Newton as VP retail group, for the firm.

Specializing in tenant and landlord representation, Newton joins Grubb & Ellis from Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank.

Robertson Properties names real estate/design/development exec

Los Angeles — Robertson Properties Group said it has named John Manavian executive VP real estate, design & development, responsible for oversight of the firm’s real estate portfolio, development projects and the roll-out of ArcLight Cinemas.

Robertson Properties Group is affiliated with Pacific Theatres and ArcLight Cinemas, which are all part of the Decurion Corp.

Manavian joined Robertson Properties Group in 1997 as director of real estate development. Since joining the firm he has been responsible for the development and oversight of over 4.5 million sq. ft. of new retail projects including the Cinerama Dome redevelopment in Hollywood, which preserved and updated the historic theater and added the first ArcLight Cinema, which debuted in March 2002.

5 Napkin Burger to open at Union Square

New York City — Winick Realty Group said that 5 Napkin Burger, the popular burger chain that’s opened three New York locations since 2003, has leased its fourth location at 150 East 14th Street, on the southwest corner of Third Avenue.

The restaurant includes 3,570 sq. ft. of ground-floor space, as well as a full basement. The new location is slated to open in April.
