Harrah’s to launch digital signage solutions pilot with Cisco

BY CSA STAFF

New York City Harrah’s Operating Co., a subsidiary of Harrah’s Entertainment, is expanding an existing collaborative effort with Cisco to work on an interactive digital signage solutions pilot.

Using Cisco Digital Media Suite, now supporting touch capability, Harrah’s will pilot an interactive signage solution as part of Harrah’s strategy to create a more personalized guest experience.

The addition of touch capabilities to Cisco’s Digital Signage solutions can improve the customer experience in convention, casino, and hotel areas through delivery of services directly to customers, reducing perceived wait times, and sharing up-to-date schedules and news, where and when customers need them most.

This initiative represents Cisco’s first interactive, touch enabled-digital signage solution piloted by Harrah’s.

BY CSA STAFF

REDMOND, Wash. Nintendo has partnered with Beyonce Knowles to give fans of its “Style Savvy” game for Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi access to new designs from the entertainer’s Dereon clothing line co-created with her mother, designer Tina Knowles. As managers of their own virtual boutiques, players can incorporate these chic Dereon fashions as they create one-of-a-kind looks for their in-game clientele, Nintendo reported.

“‘Style Savvy’ is all about creativity and fashion, both of which are really important to me,” says Beyonce. “I love that I get to become a stylist and take over my own boutique, and it’s so much fun to see some of my Dereon designs added to the mix.”
