Hilco Real Estate announces auction of seven bank-owned properties
Northbrook, Ill. Hilco Real Estate announced that it will sell six land parcels, located in California, Louisiana and Nebraska, and a newly-renovated, 18,000 square foot fishing lodge in Alaska, through a sealed bid auction process. A bidding deadline of Aug. 28 has been set for all properties. Prospective buyers may submit bids on one, some, or all of the assets.
“The land parcels are ideal for retail, industrial, and/or residential/mixed-use development,” said Neil Aaronson, CEO of Hilco Real Estate. He added, “All of these properties are fundamentally strong and the portfolio offers bidders great diversity in terms of location and future development applications. We feel there will be significant interest by developers, users and investors.”
Geoffrey Schnipper, Sr. Project Manager for Hilco Real Estate, added “This sale has been structured to enable an orderly disposition of these assets in an accelerated timeframe. Through cooperation with the unnamed bank seller, most of the due diligence work has already been completed.”
Faith Hope Consolo to launch TV segment on N.Y. retail
New York Retail real estate broker and shopping guru Faith Hope Consolo, chairman of Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group, launches The Faithful Fashionista, Sunday July 18 at 11 a.m., a new segment on WPIX’s popular television program, Metro Residential.
Each week, Consolo will provide a private tour of boutiques, restaurants, spas and an eclectic array of lifestyle destinations in various New York City neighborhoods. The premiere segment focuses on the Upper East Side.
“I am delighted to have this opportunity to introduce Metro Residential’s audience to some of my favorite shopping destinations—we are going for glamour,” Consolo said. “There is so much synergy here and in future weeks, viewers will learn about what’s hip and haute in stores at the epicenter of style and be introduced to the intriguing people who have created them.”
Ulta opens at Hammond Square
Hammond, La. Covington, La.-based Stirling Properties said Friday that Ulta opened a 9,810-sq.-ft. store at Hammond Square on July 9.
The Hammond Square store, located between T.J.Maxx and Target, is the retailer’s third Louisiana location outside of Baton Rouge and Shreveport.
“Bringing ULTA to Hammond Square is part of Stirling Properties’ commitment to expanding the shopping opportunities here in Tangipahoa (Parish),” said Grady Brame, executive VP and partner for Stirling Properties. “Our goal with this development is to not only offer residents a one-stop shopping experience through a variety of retailers and restaurants, but to serve as a catalyst for continued growth and economic development.”
