H&M opens first store in Hawaii
New York — H & M, Hennes & Mauritz AB opens its first Hawaii store in Waikiki on March 28. The store features a one-of-a-kind installation featuring artwork of local surf photographers Mike Coots, Sarah Lee and Zak Noyle.
The Waikiki store has hired 160 local employees.
“We want to thank the people of Hawaii for a successful kick off of H&M’s first store in the Islands,” said Daniel Kulle, president of H&M North America. “Hawaii’s warm reception and pure aloha played a key role in making this grand opening special. We look forward to strengthening our community partnerships, building new relationships and celebrating our continued growth and expansion of H&M in Hawaii.”
Lane Bryant opens new stores in New Jersey, Texas
Columbus, Ohio – Lane Bryant opens two new stores in Marlton, N.J., and Odessa, Texas on March 28. The New Jersey store is located at Willow Bridge Plaza and the Texas store is located at Chimney Rock.
Lane Bryant operates 775 stores nationwide and also operates an e-commerce site.
New Sears Outlet, Home Appliance and Mattress Showroom stores open
Hoffman Estates, Ill. – Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Inc. opens a new store in Webster, Texas, on March 28. Each Sears Outlet Store, on average, offers shoppers more than 18,000-sq.-ft. of retail space.
In addition, Sears Hometown and Outlet opens a new Home Appliance and Mattress Showroom store in Spring, Texas, on March 28. Through a price-match policy, the Spring Sears Home Appliance and Mattress Showroom guarantees the lowest price on the top appliance brands, and is equipped with an internet kiosk where customers are guided by sales staff to view similar products, price match with other retailers, and order products not available in the store.
